I have the 11-piece set. I have trouble cleaning them. They retain the smell of the dish I use them with. What am I doing wrong? Hand wash, tried soacking.

I have just purchased the 11-piece set and love them! Do acacia wood handles need to be oiled? I usually used a mixture of mineral oil and beeswax on my other kitchen wood utensils.
