After reading reviews on the Zwilling Z-Cut Multi Grater/Mandoline and seeing the finger protection device I decided to give this one a try. I'm enjoying using it because it's so easy to use for multiple tasks. With the four different blades I've one tool to do most cooking tasks. Love that the interchangable blades store within the base. A perfect addition to your kitchen especially if using the Fresh & Save food storage system. The grater/mandoline fits on top of the containers for easy use and storage.

It is unsafe and very difficult to use, and one of the worst designed products I have have the displeasure of using. 1. The interchangeable graters have an unsafe design and will slip when trying to remove and replace them, sending the extremely sharp blades flying towards your fingers. 2. The track design of the handle is terrible. It is impossible to slice anything tough as the handle just pops of the track and you're left trying to push three different things in opposing directions with one hand... frankly the physics just don't work. 3. The back cover works okay for small quantities, but for large quantities there is no way to easily brace the grater against a large bowl or surface so this grater is useless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Safe and Sharp Mandoline I was nervous about using a mandolin after cutting myself on a traditional one a few years ago. This is so easy to use without scraping your fingers. Amazing how sharp this is and so easy to clean and store. Excellent new Zwilling addition to their wonderful products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product | do not recommend I bought this product assuming it'll share the same level of trust that other Staub/Zwilling products do, but can't say I'm happy at all. It's a TERRIBLE product - feels cheap and dangerous to use. The different graters are nice to have but no use since they don't work very well with the sliding mechanism at all. Further, I tried returning the product and customer support experience has been one of the most difficult as they deemed that the product is "used" based on the photo. Would not recommend Zwilling products (perhaps Staubs are still an exception) or their customer support.

Is this able to slice squash the long direction? Such as, if I were to want to make zucchini roll ups with long, flat ribbons?
