Can you take photos in Sagrada Familia?

I would rather have a video tour than an actual visit. Is there any sort of dress code? I don’t think so. Is there any sort of indication as to what is and isn’t appropriate to wear?

I would say any sort of religious observance is strictly prohibited. For those who wish to indulge, there are plenty of resources online for free, but if you’re on a budget, I’d suggest at least doing a google search to make sure it is ok to do so.

Can you take photos in Sagrada Familia? Yes, you can. There are no cars allowed inside the church, but you must be careful not to step on any parked cars or risk getting into trouble.
When you buy your tickets online, you will see an option to skip the public transport and walk up to the Sagrada Família entrance. This is great if you don’t quite know where you want to go, or if you have lots of time. Just make sure it’s an hour and a half or more for photos inside the church.
has an English guide who is certified in Catalan, and is fully qualified to teach English in Barcelona. He will be using his own mobile device to record all the lessons, so you will need to bring your own headset and recorder.
If you booked the guided tour directly through the Barcelona website, you will need to choose the day when you want to use the Hop On Hop Off bus when you buy your tickets. As the Hop On Hop Off bus does not run Sundays, I recommend booking it a day in advance to avoid the long lines.
will NOT be able to use his or her FS1 pass, so you WILL need to purchase it separately. FS1 passes are NOT included with your Sagrada Família ticket, so you will need to purchase them again when you return to Sagrada Família.
If you don’t quite feel comfortable enough carrying around a tripod, or if you want to leave the church and come back later in the day, you can also buy an entry ticket with a tripod and you will be able to use it while you wait for your turn.

Can you take photos in Sagrada Familia?
No problem. You can bring your own tripod, and I wouldn’t worry about it. I’ve used a couple of them before and they work great. If you’re in a hurry, I’d suggest buying a tripod instead of a tripod stand since you’ll be able to take better photos with less distortion.
Will this be a problem if I only take photos for historical purposes?
No problem. You can walk up to the top of the park and take some great photos with no problem. Just make sure you go slowly as there is no real rush, only some empty spaces at the top where you can shoot.
I’ve visited Sagrada Familia before and it is truly awesome! Can’t wait to go again so I’m going at the end of October. This time I’d also like to see the outside lit up. I’ve read different things online – some say it’s only lit up Thursday to Saturday and others say every day. Could you confirm which days it will be lit up? Thanks
No difference as they’re all tapping into the same ticket databases. With the brokers like Ticketbar though it allows blogs like mine to make a small commission at no extra cost to you, covering server costs and time invested.
Hi there! I have bought an online ticket for the 12 noon – SAGRADA FAMILIA ENGLISH GUIDED TOUR via this website. Is it possible to enter before 12 noon to look around myself before the tour? Many thanks
hello, i have just a closed a ticket for sagrada familia , but the reservation has wrong date.

Can you take photos in Sagrada Familia? I’m planning to do so in the morning, and then some in the afternoon. Can you get a shot of the façades while they’re still lit up? I’m planning to do so well before 6:00 pm. Also, I’m going from 10:30 am on Saturday until 6:00 pm Sunday. What time would you recommend as the best time to capture the light stream shining through the beautiful stained glass? Thank you so much!
I would do Sagrada Familia and Park Guell (in that order) in my top 3 list of all time destinations. The fact that they’re on the same day (in Barcelona) means that you can’t really go wrong there!
As far as I know, the feast is only open when mass takes place (e.g. on Sunday), and tickets are available from 5:00 pm. The better part of 5:30 pm, actually. It will be interesting to see how many people show up for the 8:00 pm Mass.
will be in Barcelona at least 2 days in a row (to witness the Holy Family’s ascension and deposition to the heavens), and will not be able to attend mass on the first day (because of the crowds). However, I will be attending the mass of 9:00 pm on the second day, and will be able to capture the heavenly sight with my 8″″ DSLR.
I’ve visited Sagrada Familia before (in the past) and it was awesome! Can’t wait to go again, but am worried I’ll be late.

Can you take photos in Sagrada Familia? Yes, of course! The basilica is beautifully photogenic and you can walk right up to the top of the cathedral to get a great shot of the nativity scene. However, the best time to visit is in the morning, when there will be far fewer people and you will be able to get better photos.
There’s a lot of information out there about visiting Sagrada Familia – some we’ve written ourselves, plus some external resources. Here are a few things you should keep in mind when planning your trip there.
1) You will NOT see Mass on Sundays. This is a Catholic Church after all, and as such, is expected to hold a regular Sunday mass.
2) You WILL NOT see gangs of tourists queueing towards the entrance to Gaudi’s Basilica – this is normal, and you should behave politely towards all visitors regardless of their religion.
3) You WILL see plenty of locals walking around – this is a working metro station after all, after all, and as such, has a dedicated walking area.
4) You WILL NOT see crowds of tourists running around the outside of the church – this is normal, and you should behave politely towards all visitors regardless of their religion.
5) You WILL see plenty of locals hanging around the Cathedral – this is a working metro station after all, and as such, has a dedicated walking area.
As you can see, glimpsing the Holy Family’s awesomeness is not cheap, but I do think it’s worth chucking over a few bucks to get in.
