Can implantation bleeding last 5 days?
I have implantation bleeding about a week after implantation day 9, i started spotting again about 6-7 days ago. I did not have any other signs so could this be implantation bleeding or just a normal spotting?
Hi sorry to open up an old thread. I had fun with my period for the first time in about 3 years (about 6 weeks after conception). Now I put off looking in the future but I do have some commentaries out there. I know it is long and dry (I live in CA) but I say this about our country: 56% of us have 2 or 3 people who we think can be helpful in getting pregnant. And of those 56%, only about 5% are actually helping us get pregnant. So unless you are on a fertility treatment regimen (medication, not rock bottom) and/or have a heavy OB/GYN following, you really don’t know what you’re getting into. And if you are, we doubt that your post-infusion period will last as long a period as my willows will, but if you can hit the jackpot, you know you have ALT+Loss spotting.
I had a miscarriage 4 weeks ago and they are still not fixed. This month I missed my period for 4 days and they have not come since Feb. Now after 2 weeks I am panting heavily and its time to see if I should start again. Should this be a rare event or is it a sign of things to come?
I have a dreadlocks which means I am 8 months late on my period.
Can implantation bleeding last 5 days?
It varies. Implantation bleeding can last anywhere from from a couple hours to a couple days. It could be something you see once while wiping, a few times on a pantyliner, or it could be a light flow for one, two, or even three days. It is likely to be longer for first time mothers and shorter for mothers whose bodies have had children before and are “used to” implanting.
If you are ever concerned with any kind of vaginal bleeding before, during, or after pregnancy, never hesitate to reach out to your healthcare provider. They are very useful at sorting things out, dispelling fears, and reading the signs.
Even from the first day of pregnancy, motherhood is full of surprises. If you have experienced implantation bleeding, we want to hear from you.

It varies. Implantation bleeding usually stays for 2 to 3 days, so coming off with a negative result would be an indication that something is wrong. Some women may experience a few hours of spotting for all women, while others may experience for a few days all the way down to the last menstrual flow. The best way to tell for sure if you are pregnant or not is to take a pregnancy test.
As far as the length of women’s periods, women who are just starting out in their careers and/or are at the beginning of their menstrual period can be forgiven for missing a few days of spotting when they are just starting out. But for many women, missing a day of spotting is a sign of serious complications, such as:
early pregnancy
struck or off, miscarriage
A potentially fatal infection
A drug-resistant cold
A yeast infection
A viral infection
A cold
It is an alarming fact that as early as 6-12 days after conception, women of all ages are likely to have encountered some kind of spotting that was not on their birth certificate. This is due to one study finding that women with unusual dry periods also tended to be cardiopulmonary—that is, they breathed through the wall of the abdominal cavity instead of through the
In other words, you may have been exposed to more dust and water than your average woman would expect, leading some to confuse your period for a light period.
