Good grief, this is ridiculous.
You don’t need any qualifications to do a level 2 teaching assistant course, you just need to be a bit more confident with the subject and be able to work remotely with the students.

Do A levels expire?
If you did NOT do a level 2 you would still be able to do a level 1, however the level 3 would be at ‘least as good as the level 2 you did in yr so far’.
Level 2 is the same as a level 3, however the level 3 is at least 5 years older than the level 2 you did in yr so far.
The Education and Training Foundation hasĀ been commissioned by the government to carry out a feasibility study of a possible merger of the two organisations. The study is expected to be completed in spring 2018 and the results will be incorporated into the merger proposal.
A level 1 is a one year course that follows a specific syllabus provided on the AS/NZS certificate. The first 15 minutes are on the syllabus and the last 15 minutes are on the actual exam. The A level carries UCAS points depending on the grade achieved. The A level is assessed by exams which have to be attended in person. The A level is assessed by online examination at the end of the course. The online exam must be attended in person and the certificate of completion obtained at the end of the course. The certificate of completion is retained on file with the examiner. Once the exam is passed, the certificate of completion is destroyed.
