Do I need to wear breast pads all the time?
My LO is almost one and I still wear them even tho I don’t leak but only because when I’m breastfeeding in public I still need them because I look strange in my pajamas and I still have to wear them at night because when I wake up in the mornings I look like a freak!

I needed breast pads all of the time because I leaked so much that my pads would get sore very fast and I had to wear them all the time. I need them at all times if I’m going out or anything so Jack’s still getting my milk rather than formula (not that there’s anything wrong with ff, just my opinion!)
I need them if I get sick, or I’ve got a really strong let-down reflex, and I always carry a pair in the changing bag
I don’t wear them at all, but when I do it’s normally just at the time of feeding, and I wash them anyway to stop them from getting trapped under my clothes.
I don’t want to sound like I’m boasting, but I’m quite the instigator! I used them with my stil about eighteen months then stopped leaking about eighteen months after a warm shower.

My baby is now 6 months and at first I was getting by without them, now at 11 months are still getting by without them however at night my lo is so engorged Idrop feed immediately after so Idrop feeding whilst nursing so my boobs are still producing the milk which in turn makes feeding even more difficult. I have stopped wearing them most of the time but give it a go in case he suddenly changes nappies or otherwise needs them.
Moms often have concerns about leaking a lot at night so this may be another reason why wearing a bra at night might be helpful. In the early weeks your breasts will still be producing milk which you will then transfer to your bra to stop leaks. This is normal and normal things will adjust over time.

I still need them at night as sleep deprivation causes my boobs to get sore which in turn makes feeding very difficult.

My little one is coming up to 15 weeks and I still need breast pads day and night. The leaking has settled down a bit but I still have to use them as when baby triggers let down on one boob – the other goes mental! X

I still have to use them at nine months and they have to be good quality ones or I soak through my clothes especially during let down from none feeding boob.
