How far is Merida from Cancun airport? and Cancun airport to Merida. Driving the full length of the country driving the toll road from the airport to Merida is one of Mexico’s most luxurious and transportation-friendly activities.
The average Mexican travels by road from the airport to the city center on the toll road, then by road back to the airport in Cancun. However, in most cases the journey will be more difficult because of the high gas prices.
The most luxurious mode of transport for regular Mexicans is the MARC (privateer) bus. This private bus offers all the services of a regular bus: easy boardings, comfortable passengers, and a few extra pounds.
You can ride the bus from the airport to any of the cities in the state, but be warned: The MARC buses are only allowed on day one of the trip, so make sure you take pictures of the buses before you use them.
I’ve heard that Uber now runs from the airport to Cancun. This is not true. Uber is a ticketing service, and is one of Mexico’s largest. Uber is a ticketing service that is mainly used by Mexican drivers. Uber drivers usually rely heavily on their drivers, and rely heavily on advertising, so they may not be able to compete with taxi drivers.
But mostly say something about the buses. They are fun to ride, have a great time driving from the airport to the city, and are an option for anyone who wants to visit Mexico in the fall.
Not to worry. It is what it is,where it is,at the time it is, and it is what it is.
You have definitely accomplished something. We hope you will agree it is an honor to be there and be a part of this incredible journey. We are happy to be there and continue our studies here in Mexico.
And can we get one from the airport? We have been to Cancun several times but either took cabs or public transportation. I have found basic directions from Cancun to Merida but nothing about getting from the airport to the toll road. Thanks in advance.
Make sure you have a full tank of gas when you start the trip as there is just one gas station once you get on the toll (cuota) road. This one gas station/rest stop is at the half way point – do pull in here and fill up again. Plus, there are restaurants and bathrooms here.
We just did part of this trip today. As you approach Merida they are repaving the road. This is not a problem.. just letting you know incase you are doing this trip soon and they are still working on the road.
Just a note on the restrooms at either the rest stop or the toll booths…use the facilities at the rest stop if at all possible. The food is good there as well, and the prices reasonble considering your choices there.
How far is Merida from Cancun airport?
There are 4 direct buses a day, one of each type. The first ADO bus will take you to Cancun Airport, and the other to Merida Airport. The first ADO bus Cancun Airport is at 2.05 PM, so if you’re arriving in the morning, you’ll need to depart from the Central Bus Station in Cancun. I recommend you to check in any case the Cancun Airport to Merida bus schedule before your trip.
In Cancun, you can find a wide range of car rental companies where you can rent a car for driving to Merida, Mexico. Car rentals are available both in the city and at Cancun airport. This is a great option for anyone who wants to travel at their own leisurely pace, or if you are planning to go on a
You can drive from Cancun to Merida in 4 to 5 hours with a couple of stops(or 3 hours and 30 minutes for non-stop drive) for a total distance of 303 km. You must traverse the Mexico Highway 180D to reach Merida.
Some car rental companies in Mexico will tell you that you’re required to purchase insurance at all costs, but it’s not true. If you already have insurance through your credit card or other provider, you don’t need to purchase another. If they insist, go to another rental car company.
Make sure you take pictures of the rental car before you use it and after you return the car, so they can’t charge you for damages that you didn’t do. There are many stories of car rentals that want to charge exorbitant fees for tiny scratches, so it’s something to pay attention to.
How far is Merida from Cancun airport? and Cancun to Merida…
I was looking at the buses from the airport to Cancun but couldn’t find the ADO website in Spanish. Any suggestions? Our
service is only available during the day but can be used the rest of the day. I have found reliable bus guides in the area and want to make an exception for those who are interested in spending some time there, but the rules seem to prohibit that. I’m not sure what your issue is with not wanting to go from the airport to Cancun, but the buses often leave quite a distance before our plane leaves.
We usually go by ADO and find them to be very comfortable. I’ve heard that Uber now runs from CUN to Merida. I also heard that it’s something like 130. Not sure if that’s true but you can punch it in to see what you get.
I was at CUN airport last week. I took the ADO bus to Playa del Carmen as I do 8-10 times a yr. When I bought my ticket at the outdoor ADO counter I saw the signs posted for destinations and times buses were leaving. Merida only had “14:00” next to it. I asked the ADO clerk in Spanish when the buses are to Merida from the airport and she said there is only one bus each day and it is at 2 p.m. I asked because next time we go to CUN we are planning on going from the airport or from the downtown Cancun bus station straight to Merida.
