How long is the ferry from Praslin to La Digue?
The Cat Cocos Ferry starts in Praslin, crosses the St Lawrence, enters the Inner Harbour, and returns to Praslin. It takes about 1 hour, 15 minutes, or 30 seconds, depending on the vessel.
Is it possible to get on or off the ferry?
Yes, you can get on and off the ferry, provided you have enough cash for a seat. We recommend getting as far as possible from the jetty and transferring your luggage to the next ferry, as this way you can easily transfer your luggage to another boat (if available).
What if I don’t have enough cash for my ?
Then you will have to make your way back to Praslin by boat, which will take longer than if you had just arrived. Please do not worry, we have a service for this purpose as well.

What is the difference between a regular ferry and a VIP ferry?
Your booking window will show you the type of ferry you qualify for, and the number of passengers travelling with you. Click on the blue ‘Book Now’ button, and follow the on-screen instructions to begin the journey. You may wish to first check the time has not been changed, and secondly, that the transfer website does not show the actual transfer time. In addition, the website does not allow you to cancel the journey, so you have to make the trip again and pay the additional fare.
I have booked the ferry ticket online, but it did not show up in my shopping cart. What happened to my luggage?
You will of course, receive your ferry ticket(s) when you check in at the port, and you will then have to show your ticket(s).
